On this episode of "Soul of Black Folk," join us as we speak with Cheryl Wills, award-winning NYC anchorwoman and author of "Die Free: A Heroic Family History," documenting the life of her Great Great Great Grandfather  who escaped slavery and served valiantly in the Civil War.

Cheryl recently played herself in NBC's Law and order SVU, and also in the motion pictures Freedomland starring Samuel Jackson and The Brave One alongside Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard.
