Call in to speak with the host
Vorrie L. Yarborough was born September 6, 1960, in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the late Robert Jones and the late Jannie McLeod. She has one sister, Co-Pastor Barbara Holmes of Jersey City, New Jersey.
Vorriegraduated from Franklin High School in 1978, and joined the Army in 1980. Her Military career lasted for six years. Vorrie is a LPN and is presently working towards opening a transitional house for abused women and pregnant teenagers.
Vorrie endured many drastic and difficult times throughout her childhood, and most of her adult life. In 1996, when she had determined that life was not worth living and even made preparations to end her life, something happened; she attended a church service one morning. After hearing Pastor Ra’Ifa preach the Word of God, she surrendered her life to the Lord and truly received salvation. As a result of that act of obedience, years later, Vorriewas ordained an Evangelist in June 2005.
In the year of 2007, Vorriemarried her soul mate, Pastor Phillip Yarborough, Jr. and together they have 4 children. She works by her husband’s side in ministry at Rhema Word Christian Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She is very active in the church and is always willing to help others. Vorrieis a Preacher, Teacher, Worship and Praise Team Leader, and ministers to hurting women and youth.
Vorrietakes no credit for anything. She gives all the glory and honor to God because he did it all. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.”
