What's shaking, people!  We're back with our phasers set on "stun." Check out our latest episode of The Grindhouse podcast, courtesy of the Afronerd Radio Machine airing this Saturday at 6pm ET.  Listen to your favorite podcast "Creature Commandos" (Claire Lanay, Capt. Kirk, the "uncanny" Daryll B.and Dburt) as they pontificate on the following pop/geek/nerd culture issues:  Dburt begrudgingly checked out episode 3 of The Orville and now wonders if the show: a) improved; b) has racist undertones (a la TNG's infamous Code of Honor episode) or c) had an agenda to push; just at the point that Rick & Morty increases in popularity and ads female writers, somehow sexist trolls are also boosting their numbers as well;  leave it to the Brits to pull the trigger on a Black themed time travel show entitled Timewasters scheduled for an October premiere; the Tomb Raider reboot amd The Punisher offical trailers hit the internets this week; Linda Hamilton returns to the Terminator franchise reprising her iconic Sarah Conner character; is The Inhumans canceled before it's first official airing?  And could a movie be a mea culpa to the fans?; was Joss Whedon correct in cutting Lex Luthor and Iris West from the upcoming Justice League film?;  legendary director, Mel Brooks laments about current PC culture stifling comedy as well as his Blazing Saddles movie not being able to be made today for the same reason; Wonder Woman movie fans petition the WB to address the character's sexuality in the DCEU; And lastly, we brace for the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery this weekend.   Call LIVE at 646-915-9620
