Well today is "Emancipation Day" for the nerds/geeks/Blerds/Nerds of color-Captain America: Civil War has arrived!  Keeping it really close to the cuff...Join Team Afronerd Radio (the "Uncanny" Daryll B, the equally as Uncanny Too, Claire Lanay, Capt. Kirk and Dburt) this Saturday at 6pm EST for this week's latest installment of The Grindhouse.  Pull up a seat and a cool refreshing drink while the crew elucidates on the following topics:  our impressions of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War trilogy; rumor has it that the budget/expense for CBS' Supergirl may prevent a second season renewal but the CW network may be at play as an alternative home for the series;  Boom's Irredeemable comic appears to be headed for a silver screen adaptation, courtesy of Fox; and in yet another case of social media upping the creep factor, artist Kukuruyo causes a furor by drawing a semi nude, Ms. Marvel, who is depicted as a teenager in comics (how low can we go..wow); Ben Affleck takes on a bigger role in the upcoming Justice League movie as Executive Producer to "support" Zack Snyder;  are ABC's Agent Carter and Marvel's Most Wanted in trouble?; Dburt admittedly is not a big Star Wars fan (go team Star Trek) but he admits to being somewhat intrigued by the Exile SW fan film featuring a fair share of NOC representation and gore;  And lastly, in science/medical news, a biotech company envisions using stem cell research to bring back the dead.
