Hannibal Tabu is a writer, journalist, DJ, poet, designer living in south Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters. He's a winner of the 2012 Top Cow Talent Hunt, writer of WASO: WILL TO POWER and WASO: GATHERING WIND for Stranger Comics, ARTIFACTS #35 for Image Comics, FATHOM SOURCEBOOK, SOULFIRE SOURCEBOOK, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT IRIS SOURCEBOOK and ASPEN UNIVERSE SOURCEBOOK for Aspen Comics, and co-writer (alongside 2 GUNS writer Steven Grant) of an issue of WATSON AND HOLMES for New Paradigm Studios in WATSON AND HOLMES VOLUME 2. In fiction, he has been published in the Steamfunk! anthology and has two self-published novels, THE CROWN: ASCENSION and FARAWAY, available on all major online booksellers. His poetry has been published in (SIC) VICE VERSE, A DRUMMING BETWEEN US, DRUMVOICES REVUE and VOICES FROM LEIMERT PARK.

The Brazilian authorities have not yet determined who shot Marielle, who ordered the killing or why they wanted her dead.  the attack involved assailants in two vehicles who fired at least 13 shots, hitting Marielle four times in the head. 

Marielle Franco a black woman raised in a Rio favela and a sociologist whose academic work mirrored her radical politics.

Elected to a seat on Rio’s city council in 2017, she was a member of the left-wing Socialism and Liberty Party. An advocate of human rights, she was dedicated to improving the lives of people living in Brazil’s impoverished and marginalized favelas. She was an outspoken critic of police violence, which disproportionately affects black people. Her and Anderson Gomes her driver were assassinated March 14, 2018
