The International Health Awareness Network (IHAN) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization in consultative status with the United Nations Department of Public Information and ECOSOC. IHAN is dedicated as well as supports the raising awareness of improving the health and welfare of women and children particularly in developing countries. It supports empowering through health and education- cooperating with other NGO’s. IHAN has been actively working on the elimination on violence against women. IHAN was conceived at the end of the decade of women of conference in Nairobi in July of 1985. IHAN has been active at the forefront of pressing issues regarding human rights, health, and education in many continents. WE are focused on reproductive health and reducing maternal mortality on a global level.
