AHD: PROS AND CONS OF C-SECTION VS NATURAL BIRTH

C-Section or natural birth is a question all mothers to be should be asking themselves today. C-sections can save lives in emergency situations and has been a boost to infant mortality rate. In general, birth is not an emergency situation. How many women are at risks of child birth and how well informed are women in African communities about the options available to them in order to make well informed choices. Many women have to go through the c-section route for health reasons and for the safety of themselves and their baby. On the other hand, there are women who would really prefer to have natural birth and are deeply disappointed if they have to have a caesarean, considering the myriad of problems surrounding child birth, child care, proper equipment, power supply, and adequately trained personnel in Africa.
