All too often, feminism is confused for women’s rights. And some people feel that feminism is the foundation of matriarchy. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Negro American culture is a matriarchal culture. Feminism, on the other hand, is an offspring of chauvinism. Feminism is the white woman’s bid to get a bigger slice of the pie from her white man’s table. Negro women have been recruited by feminists since the 1960s to advance their cause, usually with no benefits of their own. Why are Negro women following feminists?
