The definition of mentacide: The systematic effort to destroy a person’s values and beliefs, as by the use of prolonged interrogation, drugs, torture, etc., and to introduce radically different ideas.  This is what has been done to Indigenous Negroes in America (Turtle Island) for now the better part of seven centuries, and now it’s in full effect.  White supremacy is affecting us in all areas of our lives, and it has unknowingly seeped into the very fabric of our existence, including our culture and the way we relate to one another.  Whether we realize it or not, we see Indigenous Negroes every day that clearly exhibit both the physical and psychological signs of mentacide.  But because we don’t discuss psychological and mental illness amongst ourselves, we turn a blind eye to those of us that help to keep us both oppressed and divided.  How do we right the ship?  Can we deprogram ourselves to overcome mentacide?  Join me and guest Niecy Lashelle as what’s happening and how we can make changes for the better.
