To address the social, cultural, political, and economic conditions of Afrikan [Black] people in America. Figuring out just what needs to be done, how to do it, when to do it, and how to organize those actions. We (The AVP) are also using this for the purpose of recruitment as well as for people in general to have a good time on talk blog radio.

    Date / Time:

    Seperation the ONLY solution?

Integration is a media myth targeted specifically for black (Afrikan) people.
First I would like to stage a question:

With America being as "diverse" as it is, I must question why whites don't try to "integrate" themselves into the Hispanic or Asian communities?!? Why are black people specifically targeted?!?

(Place you answers in the comment box below)

Anyway, I'm here to speak on why a degree of separation is actually best for any notion of integration; better yet, how the complete independence is best for us (Afrikans) as well as what we can contribute on the world "stage."

First, in a society where we as black people are minority; most of us can hardly say that after critical analysis that we were treated equally, or justly in a system of European dominance (United States) and considering the last 8 years of evident racial discrimination from:

    1. Jena 6
    2. hurricane Katrina
    3. the sub-prime mortgage and redlining
    4. Murdering of unarmed Black men (Sean Bell and Oscar grant.)

it seems almost mentally insane blindly adhere to social, economic, political, spiritual, and/or cultural integration.

Second, I'd like to illustrate this point:
for example, suppose there were two roommates. if these roommates are unable to get along, even after an attempt is made is made to quell the hostilities or animosities, the sensible solution is for one roommate to move out.

In this sense, our separation is the BEST solution
As one separates themselves and does what is in their best interest any possible long term tension will dissipate.

The only solution and what I believe the best and quickest way to restore balance and positive relations between cultures and people, and in this particular case blacks and whites, is to have a separate nation or a separate state within this nation for us as black people to grow and develop ourselves, our people, and our communities as we see fit.

If the ancient Afrikans exchanged and traded cultures, ways of life, and civilizations with the Greeks and other cultures arond the world, through having their separate nation; I believe it is equally important for Afrikans here in the US to have and develop our own.

For anyone who is blind on this benefit, then I ask you to look at the employment rates, the school drop out, expulsion, and suspension rates, the murder rates, the incarceration rates, the poverty, blocked socioeconomic opportunity, the white nationalist media, etc...

Research the events taking place in the community as well as the serious level of blocked opportunity. Now after all of that...what do you think the solution is?!?

I say, we must have our own!
