What did your family tradition teach you about healthy living, spirituality, and relationships in the context of marriage, the value of friendship, and the love of doing something. Your family's tradition might have been a religious base or not. We still would love to hear about it and how it has impacted and shaped your life positively. Today at affiyahh's circle we will have a conversation with two of the many women who we admire and who have inspired us. They are as follows:

Preshona Ambrita Ghose is a young teacher and grassroots activist who is dedicated to finding creative, reflective ways of instilling social justice via the media and performing arts. Preshona coordinates a dynamic community event/movement for the whole family once a month at Soul 57 3rd Saturdays, called One Love--which includes a diverse flea market, positive performances, crafts/Storytime for kids, and community short film/forum for adults/young people.

Miss Olubunmi Bakare a native Washingtonian of African American and Yoruba ancestry. She is a lecturer, who love to travel around the world learning about different traditions.
