Currently adult adoptees, in most states are unable to request and receive, like any other U.S. Citizen, their original birth certificate.  Before the sealing of adoptions, birth cetificates for adoptees were available to them when they turned 18.

The current law is archaic and cruel, considering that every other citizen of the US has the right to 'life, liberty and the pursuit' of happiness, except the ADULT ADOPTEE, who has become a SECOND CLASS CITIZEN.

I am an Adult Adoptee who is unable to get my original birth certificate without going through a 'Confididental intermediary', which I did, and, who was no help.  I did not and do not have the money to go to lawyers and why should I?  Why should any adoptee have to go through this insanity when everyone else only has to be a nominal fee to get their original birth certificate?

I have written a book, Skeletons in the Closet, that, as I speak, is being distributed in a downloadable format.  You can visit my website, www.scribeintexas.com (you may have to put it in your address bar) and the link to my book will be listed.

I would like to film adoptees and include their stories in a book of how they and their families have been affected by not being able to find out about the detals of their birth.  The film and book will be used to raise funds to promote the Adult Adoptee Reform Bill.

Please join me for the discussions and I hope to turn the radio show into an hour.  I am not a radio host, but I am doing this to bring awareness to the public.
