Good day folks, and welcome to another exciting episode of the ADR-NOW! Internet Radio Show.  I am your host, Anthony Johnson.

In this episode, we will train you on how to dispute a derogatory item listed on your credit bureau report with the original creditor.  The methodology will be a bit different from disputing an item from a debt collector.  The debt collector has purchased the debt from the original creditor, at cents on the dollar, and in most cases will not have any documentation to support the debt in question.

With the original creditor, you are asking for an INVESTIGATION, not verification.  Therefore, under the laws, the original creditors are not required to verify an account.  So, the original creditor is merely an "information furnisher" and an information furnisher is any entity reporting information to the credit bureaus about you.  We will cover the efficacy of this law which was passed in the FACT ACT in 2003.

If you have been contacted by a debt collector via writing, phone, or summons to appear in small claims court, you must tune in to this episode!  Ditto if you merely want to research your credit bureau report to check its accuracy.

We are looking forward to hearing from you every day, Monday thru Friday at 11:00AM, right here at www.blogtalkradio.com/adrnow.   Or pick up a copy of the Consumer Debt Negotiation Training Manual at your earliest convenience at www.adr-now.com.
