Cynthia Makris has achieved an international reputation for her interpretations of some of opera literature's most interesting and challenging heroines. Her present repertoire has at its core the dramatic roles of the Italian repertoire, such as Puccini's Turandot, Tosca, and Minnie, Verdi's Lady Macbeth and Abigaille, as well as Richard Strauss' Elektra and Salome. Kim Cameron had a personal tragedy in her life that caused her to pursue her life's dream of becoming a singer. Her brother was diagnosed with cancer. Kim is performing regularly, has a debut release out called Contradictions (which has received rave reviews and massive radio play), and several successful music videos. On the concert stage he’ll sing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Utah Symphony, Gluck’s Ezio in Paris and Vienna with Il Complesso Barocco, Verdi’s Requiem with the Santa Fe Symphony, Britten’s Les Illuminations with the Richmond Symphony, and Stravinsky’s Pulcinella with the New York City Opera at Alice Tully Hall. During the 2007 – 2008 season, the tenor portrayed Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor with both Opera Arizona and Madison Opera, and Grimoaldo in Rodelinda with Portland Opera. His performances of Pandarus in Walton’s Troilus and Cressida for Opera Theatre of St. Louis received noted critical praise. He made his debut with the Detroit Symphony under Leonard Slatkin at Meadowbrook and sang Messiah with Eugene Concert Chorale, and Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with the Lied Center for the Performing Arts, in addition to recitals in Florida and Utah. Born in South Africa to German parents, Kathi has been a global nomad right from the start. Raised in Africa and Europe she also lived in China studying mandarin and oriental painting, and later studied film in New York. Currently she lives between Colombia and New York.For the past 15 years, Kathi has been filming and archiving dance films/footage and audio/visual recordings of tribal dance, rituals, and nature imagery. Kathi has made several short films, Vjd extensively international and produced many multi media shows. "Footsteps in Africa", is her first feature film debut. Kathi's work draws upon the power of the eternal present. She aims to portray the strength and inspiration of every isolated instance. Her work mirrors the alchemy of human behavior, exploring the archetypes of existence, and creating a dialogue with habits, rituals and unconscious behaviors. Her projects are achieved by collaborating with people from all over the world in all mediums of expression.
