Caitlin O’Connell is on the faculty at Stanford University Medical School and an author. Educated at Fairfield University, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and the University of California, Davis, where she earned a Ph.D. in Ecology, Dr. O’Connell has been studying elephant ecology and behavior for over 15 years. She has published over 25 peer-reviewed scientific articles and numerous articles for the popular press, including a book on elephant communication and two more in the works.
