1 John - God is Real God is Love Part 2

Who is Jesus?  Was he God or Man?  What is incarnation? Who exactly is the Anti-Christ and how can we recognize him?  How do I know that I’m really saved?  How can I recognize a true believer from a false one? How do we know that God loves?  Can a perfect God love me even though I’m not perfect? Can I sin once I have accepted God and if so will God disown me?

This series will answer these questions and many more. In these five short chapters John “the Beloved Disciple” covers a lot of ground.  Over the next eight weeks we are going to follow John on a journey of discovery.  We will discover who our Lord Jesus really is.  We will discover how to detect false teacher and lying spirits.  Ultimately will we discover the very core of who our God is.

My prayer is that by the time we complete these eight weeks we will have a better understanding of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  I pray we will have a closer bond with the three in one God of the universe as well as a more personal relationship with Them.  I also pray that we will all feel like John did about his relationship with his Lord Jesus.  When we are done I hope you will join me in considering ourselves “the Disciples that Jesus loves”.
