Music That Glorifies God

Music touches the heart of everyone in some form, shape, or fashion. Life Matters is honored to have Shelly Massey as a guest to share with us her vision, mission, and God-given passion for music ministry.  Shelly is an experienced and creatively inventive singer and song writer.  Originally from Humboldt, Tennessee, Shelly’s music career took an amazing turn after moving from Milan Tennessee to Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 2003.  It was at that time, that she and her husband and manager Jeff Massey met Ben Tankard.  It was a divine connection that took their lives in ministry and her music career to another level.  New doors were opened for Shelly as she embraced the mentorship of this great Gospel jazz artist.  She co-wrote and sung “Let’s Get Quiet” on Ben Tankard’s Piano Prophet album.  She also wrote and recorded “My Lips Shall Utter Praises” on Ben’s album Mercy, Mercy, Mercy.  She has written other songs – including “Healing Me” and “Bah-bah” which is currently a part of her own music project.  Shelly and her husband Jeff are both ordained ministers of the Gospel and have a heart to see people encouraged, blessed, healed, set free and delivered through the music ministry God has given them.
