I wouldn't use Obama as an example of getting white privilege because of a white parent - his mother gave him little more than genes. He is a better model of the child abandoned by parents and raised by relatives -- this happens in all races. As for Derrion Albert, his status as an honor student pointed up how all kids are in danger.
