A fresh, powerful voice on today's music scene, Samara brings an honest and soulful sound to the microphone and marries it to inspiring, expressive and liberating lyrics. Born in Trinidad, West Indies , Samara began singing at an early age, singing in church where the rhythm and spirit of music first met her. After relocating to Atlanta , Georgia , Samara continued to develop her talent. Now as a singer and songwriter, she greets audiences with a hypnotizing, captivating, ethnic soul. Her music rings of lessons and expressions to both entertain and edify. Samara has shared her vocal talent at churches, talent shows, concerts, festivals, corporate events and showcases all over the country. Her original song, "Summertime", was featured on the 2004 ASCAP Urban music compilation album. Samara has also recorded background vocals for a number of independent music projects in various genres, including the upcoming debut album for Tasha La Rea, member of Arrested Development. Recently, Samara was featured in “Just Worship” a three movement musical produced by Freedom Christian Church in Tucker, GA, where she played the part of a pastor’s wife who goes through a Job- like experience. Currently Samara sings with Atlanta Beat, a corporate band that under the umbrella of Event Performance, a one-stop-shop entertainment company. Rooted in her faith and inspired by all who are true to themselves, Samara’s goal is to inspire all who hear her music to celebrate their own authenticity and live life to the fullest.
