A Book and a Chat with John-Manue​l Andriote

American journalist John-Manuel Andriote is today's guest on a "A Book and a Chat" .

John-Manuel has written about health, medicine, politics and culture for the Washington Post as well as other newspapers and magazines. He has specialized in reporting on HIV and AIDS beginning in 1986.

His book Victory Deferred won the 2000 Lambda Literary Awards "Editors' Choice" award. It was named an "honored book" by the American Library Association and a finalist in its gay/lesbian nonfiction awards. His first children's book, Wilhelmina Goes Wandering, based on the true story of a runaway cow and illustrated by Vermont-based artist Katie Runde, will be published in early 2014.
