A Book and a Chat with Pauline L Hawkins

Pauline is the author of "Ashes Ashes the Twins Fall Down" about 9/11 and the Twin tours.

debut book tells the story of her trying to cope with the tragic event, its immediate repercussions on her family, and the re-framing of the vision of America that she, like so many of us, was forced to undergo because of that fateful September day.

“Where were you on 9/11?” the author asks, and as she relates the events of her morning on that sunny, late summer day, readers will find their own memories brought into a clearer light of hearing the tragic news on the car radio or from a fellow employee when they arrived at work or from a family member’s phone call asking if they were all right.

Having my own views on 9/11 from a background of IRA murdering and explosions in the UK it will be, I am sure an interesting chat.
