The deluge of information flooding toward us from numerous media sources can be overwhelming.  But what's true?  What's relevant?  What is true in what context? And are we being manipulated by the way the "news" is being reported?

To explore this, Mitchell Rabin speaks with philosopher & author Richard A. Bowell, who has been asking these kinds of questions for a long time.  His colleague and friend, Michael Shewchuk, at the U.N., has been asking himself similarly and will join as well as Kay Dundorf.

The seriousness of these matters should not be under-estimated as on these hinges our understanding and perception of the world.  Seeing how certain syntax and intonation can create hope or doubt, give a sense of inclusion or elitism, are all part of the game and exercising control of people to keep them rather hapless, uncritical consumers.

It is no surprise that critical thinkers need to 'talk among ourselves' and learn to work with ourselves inwardly so that we remain 'free' of what may challenge our sense of center.

Tune in and hear an array of perspectives on this matter.
