This story tells virtually the whole story of the potential of a magnificent life on Earth when in harmony with Nature's kingdoms of plants, animals, water and weather, and the severe disruption of this by self-interested business.

To continue to unravel this story, Mitchell's guest this evening is Ocean Robbins, co-founder and CEO of the 100,000+ member Food Revolution Network, adjunct professor in Chapman University’s Peace Studies Department, and co-author of Voices of the Food Revolution.

Ocean's father is the renowned pioneer and author of the Healthy Food Movement, John Robbins, whose seminal book, Diet for a New America, seeded our society with a whole new way of thinking about food, our own health and that of the planet's. It continues to be impactful and revolutionary in its vision of a world at peace in which all beings have plenty of food, and not just that, but nutritious food.

Inspired by his pioneering father who left the family's Baskin-Robbins ice cream empire, Ocean founded Youth for Environmental Sanity (YES!) at age 16, and directed the organization for 20 years. Ocean has spoken in person to more than 200,000 people and facilitated hundreds of gatherings for leaders from 65+ nations.

He is a recipient of the Freedom's Flame Award and the national Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service.
