Wednesday, March 26, 6pm EDT: Mitchell's guest this evening is renowned author and journalist, Ben G. Frank, who is considered one of this country’s most distinguished travel writers & commentators on Jewish communities around the world into which he has done considerable research by being on location.

His travels throughout the Diaspora and Israel inspired and motivated him to write his just published book, “Klara’s Journey, A Novel,” (Marion Street Press), a war-time romance that takes place during the Russian Revolution and the Russian Civil War.

With the publication of The Scattered Tribe, Traveling the Diaspora from Cuba to India to Tahiti & Beyond, (Globe Pequot Press), he broke new ground in reporting on far-flung exotic Jewish outposts. He is the author of a number of Jewish travel guides on Europe, Russia and South America.

A former newspaper reporter, he has published articles in Hadassah Magazine and Reform Judaism Magazine,

He is a B.A., cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and an M.A. graduate of the Center of Israel and Jewish Studies at Columbia University.

Ben has spent considerable time in Ukraine and will be sharing with our audience his insights into the current hotbed of this location.
