On Monday, January 21st, we were on location attending the MLK Tri-County Council hosted it's 30th Annual Youth Activities Events with over 1,500 children and parents in attendance. From cultural and praise dancers, to choirs singing old spiritual hymns, children doing poetry, words of wisdom from a 23 year old Keynote Speaker with Autism, this day rang with memories of the prominent Civil Rights Activist and in honor of his legacy. Later that evening, another 1000 guests were in attendance at the 31st Annual MLK Banquet. All events were held at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury, MD. Be sure to tune in this Sunday, January 24th to hear my interviews, among them: the Founder: Mr. Jesse Ballard, Mr. Rudy Cane: the 1st African American elected to a governmental office, professional boxer:Alex Guerrero, the Mayor of Salisbury: Mr.Jake Day and many more.
