Jack started his governmental career at the CIA in 1982, and moved to the White House National Security Council Staff from 1996-2000, where served as a senior career officer. He was responsible for US nonproliferation policy in the Middle East and Russia. Jack became a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Energy from 2000-2005, directing the department’s international threat reduction
