Fred Elia, founder and president of A Thousand Moms has roots in Kentucky, Italy, and in the LGBT community.

Sometimes a youth needs more than one parent. And what if that youth grows up LGBT? Our friend, Dr. Bill Buffie has described this situation as “stress on steroids.” Today we look at the story of one such former foster youth and his search for his roots.

Welcome to our podcast for July 9, 2011. I am Dave Balog, information person for A Thousand Moms: Building Community Support for LGBT/Q Youth in Foster/Adoptive Care. Pull up a chair, settle in and listen to our discussion. Thank you for tuning in.
