Don't look now...Anita Bryant's back. Ronni Sanlo, author, educator, professor, speaker has a unique connection with Ms. Bryant from the tumultuous anti-gay rhetoric that occurred in Florida in the late 1970's. Ms. Bryant's work led to the first--and only--state law in the nation banning LGBT couples from foster care and adoption. We'll talk with Dr. Sanlo about just how Ms. Bryant's work changed her life then and for a few decades. Dr. Sanlo overcame tremendous obstacles to see her children again, rebuild a shattered life, and became a nationally-known figure on LGBT education. Her book, The Purple Golf Cart, chronicles her extraordinary story. We'll also recount our trip to Buffalo for the first-ever Rainbow of Support Conference for parents, caseworkers, and gay youth in care. Held in Buffalo, the conference was inspired by A Thousand Moms. We'll report on how it went. And of course, where in the world are our Embraceable Ewes? Buffalo? Maybe.
