Many of us, who are Michael Jackson Supporters, have been listening to the song 'Man in The Mirror" for years. The point of the song is for us to make that change...not dream that change. Andrew Himes is a living example of someone who was really able to make that change. It is not an easy thing to do! It is hard to change the political/religious/social

values which we have been raised in. Not everyone can break the mold. Mr. Himes will share his fascinating journey with us.

Andrew Himes is a Seattle writer, filmmaker, technologist, founder of the Voices Education Project, co-founder of Poets Against the War, and author of The Sword of the Lord: The Roots of Fundamentalism in an American Family. He is the grandson of John R. Rice, the prolific and influential 20th century dean of Christian fundamentalists, and the son, brother, nephew, and cousin of many more Baptist preachers. He is a co-founder of the Compassionate Action Network, and a signer and advocate of the Charter for Compassion.

For all the Michael Jackson Supporters, you will appreciate Andrews philosophy;
"I want my legacy to be a world that is more just, more compassionate, more sustainable, and more peaceful. I want to leave a world in which children have hope, safety, and opportunity. I want to display and enable more compassion and joy in the world."

Come join us to hear his extraordinary and unforgettable story.
