Statistics across the nation have shown the alarming rates of increased enrollment of African American and Latino Males within Special Education programs. Why are the rates of White school age males so disporpotioned as it relates to non-white males? Today's guest Elizabeth Maynard has been a Special Education teacher for over 10 years.  She has a Masters Degree in Special Education and used her thesis to drive research as to why initial assessments within Special Education were not used appropriately. Currently Elizabeth is revisiting the topic as a research topic for her dissertation for her doctoral studies at Fielding Graduate University. Call in and give your comments and ask your questions.  Let's talk about it!!
