  Have You Ever Been Visited By A Demon?

  ChristiaNet.com, the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, recently asked, "Have you ever been visited by a demon?" Bill Cooper, president of ChristiaNet stated, "A majority of Christians believe that they have been visited by a demon." With nearly 1,200 Christians responding to the survey, 44% said that they believe that they have been visited by a demon. Most responders also reported that God was the source of deliverance from the demonic presence. "Satan thinks that he can destroy me and everything about me, but he cannot destroy what God has bought and promised to always keep in His divine safety," said one Christian. Other responders pointed to occult activity prior to any visitations: "Before I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I was into witchcraft spells, chants, seances, etc. I saw demons." "The devil is always with us from beginning of the world," explained another responder, adding, "He even visited the Lord Jesus Christ and tempted Him, so who we are to deny that the devil has not visited us? The devil is always there, we need to be prayer warriors to overcome him." Thirty percent of Christians surveyed believe that they have never been visited by a demon. Some responders denied a belief that demons actually exist. Others cited God's superior power and protection. "He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. Praise the Lord!" said one Christian. Another responder stated, "When you have Christ as your savior whom shall you fear? No one!" "...There is no relationship between light and darkness," said another Christian. Twenty-six percent of Christians said that they were unsure as to whether or not they have been visited by a demon. "I am unsure," said one responder, adding, "As I believe in God, I also believe in the devil and demons. I believe I am protected by the Holy Spirit who is far stronger than the demons." Another Christian was not sure but had a plan of remedy in mind: "...If it happens, all you do is call on Christ and He will deliver you."
