Our World Underwater: A Day at the Chicago Dive Show

Day 2 at the Chicago Dive Show was more suited for skiing. Four to six inches of light snow covered the ground. The temperature was near 20. It was windy. The Stephens Convention Center was busy with an RV show and several smaller events.

Our World Underwater was busy from 9 AM to 6 PM. The flow of visitors was steady. They were interested in equipment, destinations and art. Over all, it was a great day.

Patrick Hammer said the turnout was stronger than anticipated. He was excited and enthusiastic when I talked to him during the BlogTalkRadio program I did from the show.

For 90 minutes, I walked the exhibit area, talking to exhibitors about themselves, their products and destinations. If you'd like to hear the show, check out Xraydeo.

During the show I had an opportunity to speak with a couple of artists - Pascal Lecocq, Bonnielynn Branky, Carlos Hiller and Rogest - Big Wave Dave, about the DEMA pool, Richard Trecco about the Bahamas, Jerry Beaty about Dive Training Magazine, Steve Weaver of Dreamweaver, Debbie Lanham of Maduro Dive Travel and Gil Nunez of Ramon's Village in San Pedro, Belize.

This show was produced and hosted by Ken English, the Blogtalkradioguy.
