World of Perspective

Want to change your world? Consider changing your perspective. My name is Elizabeth Alraune, and I am your host. This show's purpose to offer you perspectives that you may never have considered. Take the perspectives, or leave them. I find that cherry picking the things that work for me is the best way to go. Perhaps it is for you, as well. I hope you enjoy the fruits of World of Perspective Radio. Feel free to write me with questions you'd like addressed, questions for the shows, or just to say "hey."!

    Date / Time:

    Category: Life

Have you ever noticed how many people are so grateful to get to Friday, only to live for a couple of days before it's again Monday? Ever consider that, in some ways, you might only be living 2/7 of your life that way? (Yikes!) My guest, Ken Newman (www.magnetproductions.com) has spent much of his life making people laugh in spite of themselves and their situations. Now, more than ever, we need to laugh, even though it may seem to be the hardest thing to do. Ken will be discussing how the important pieces of a successful comedy routine can relate to life, leaving you laughing and with a humorous perspective worth considering. (I dare you not to laugh during this interview!) Come and join us. ABOUT KEN: Ken Newman has been using his skills as a comedian, improviser, writer, character actor, singer, and magician to entertain, and if he's had to, educate corporate and trade show audiences since 1985. His ability to communicate his client’s message, attract huge crowds, and generally assume the role of a corporate court jester is what’s put him on a first-name basis with WAY too many flight attendants.

What is good about another person's intuition?

Have you ever had a Psychic Reading, and wondered who the person was getting, as it certainly didn't seem like you? Did you find the information helpful? Did you go away upset? What is the point of having a reading? How do you know what to do with what you get? How do you know if the person is legit? Join me and Janet Thornburg for on the air readings as well as discussion concerning a subject that is often mocked and misunderstoood.

Do You Know Whose Feelings You Are Feeling?

Pamela Glasner (Lodestarre.com) has written a work of fiction called "Finding Emmaus." It is, however, based in historical fact. And, while she has written it to be entertaining and interesting, it is at times graphic and difficult to read. It is a story about how Empaths (those who are sensitive to other's feelings) can be confused with those who are insane, and treated accordingly - with treatments that could be akin to torture in the past, and likely with medications in current day. While her story is "just" a story, she is coming on the show to discuss the background, and we'll extend it into a broader conversation that will be based in one of my personal theories that many people are indeed Empathic, they just don't know how to identify and label it as such, and therefore don't know how best to interact with it. This is bound to be a very interesting conversation to take part in, especially if you find yourself to be at times a yo-yo in terms of your thoughts and feelings without really knowing why, Please come and join us.

    Synthesizing Yourself for Success

Brian Degan Scott has been in the entertainment industry in one form or another for 28 years. Currently he has plans to appear in a show on Broadway in August, and will be in the lead role of the movie Nominated, an independent feature film shooting this September. What he discovered for himself during his career is that versatility has been an important key for his success. Brian will bring his vast experience to the show, and will synthesize it in a way that is potentially helpful for anyone who is in the process of figuring out what to do next.

Being in Touch with Your Best Self

Janet Thornburg returns to the show, this time talking about how important it is for us to clear the way for clarity of thought. During this show we'll discuss how best to open to our truest destiny. It's not how the cards are dealt, it's how they're played. In these chaotic times, this conversation is perhaps a perspective worth considering.

How do You Make A Dream Come True? You Make a Movie About It.

Dan Pavlik has been a professional video producer for 14 years. By most measures, he has had a successful career, and yet he is risking what he has worked for by diving into the shark infested waters of independent film with the idea of a movie that he dreamt about two and a half years ago. While this is his story, everyone has a "thing" that they wish they could do, might do, wouldda, shouldda, couldda done. Perhaps you can relate? Maybe you have your own sharks to contend with. Dan may be the director of his film, however, he is also in the role of Director of his own life, just as we all are. Come and join our conversation as we discuss how he got to this point, and talk about what's next and what pieces will make the Director's "cut."

If Money is the Answer, What is the Question?

Many think money is "the" answer. Paul Jalbert, a self-professed "Rich Man's Son," knows something about what money has to offer, and he has an experience of life that might run counter to what you may otherwise think. You can buy things, but the one thing money can't buy is your life's meaning and purpose. While money is important, it is a form of energy, and he suggests that a focus on something other than money will likely have you feeling richer in spirit and ultimately, richer in your bank account.

Mind, Body & Spirit: United or Divided

REPLAY Stress, Frustration, Fear, Confusion, Dis-Ease, and lack are a few of the symptoms of having a mind, body and spirit that is divided. When these three components are in sync there is synergy. Tune in to gain an alternative perspective from IamSameon, that might help you uncover and discover your inner greatness, and help you to find ways to express yourself in a more powerful, aligned way.
