Freedom and where it comes from is at the forefront of the new government. Is freedom granted by the government or is it an inherent, inalienable right to all living creatures.
From the very beginning, God granted us freedom. He gave us the freedom to choose whether or not we believe in Him. He sent his only begotten Son and again, we have the freedom to believe in him or not. Adam and Eve had the freedom to partake of the forbidden fruit.
The validity of this approach though, has been eroded by the fact that the liberal left do not believe in God and therefore, God granted them NOTHING so how could someone they do not believe in grant us anything either.
To counter this, another approach must be used, say, something from the natural world, which is something they DO believe in.
They want us to believe in Gia, the earth Goddess, I choose not to believe – again, I have that freedom.
From the days of Cro-Magnon man, we wandered the earth in complete freedom to associate, hunt or whatever Cro-Magnon man did. Any way you choose to look at it, we have had freedom from the very beginning and without government.
Any time a choice is required, that is freedom.
How did government assume the authority to grant or rescind freedom?
WE gave it to them with our vote. We gave it to them by not requiring good men of strong moral turpitude to run for public office. We gave it to them by not holding the scoundrels to the law and persecuting them for their crimes, perversities and depravities.
Remember diversity?
Please ignore it.

Barak Obama is set to win the presidency - oh boy.
America is being financially gutted like a fattened calf for the slaughter.
The worlds financial institutions are broke and the American taxpayer has been selected to bear the burden.
The UN wants money for global poverty, our infrastructure has been sold off to foreign management companies, our banks have been gutted by the very men we elected to represent us.
Our boarders have become porous from lack of law enforcement and illegal immigration is rampant.
Money earned by illegals is being sent to their respective home nations and not spent here in America.
Obama is planning to "spread the wealth around" - I dare say there is little wealth left to spread.
Unfortunately, McCain doesn't look like he will represent us either. His desire for open boarders and amnesty is still on his lips.
Our taxes will be raised and government grown regardless of who is elected.
It is my belief the both political parties are taking us to global socialism, the Democrats just want to take us there faster than the republicans.

The true cost of the bailout.
Sure, this bailout, in terms of money, will cost around 1 trillion dollars. More precisely, it will cost around 1 trillion UNCONSTITUTIONAL dollars AND, another piece of liberty.
Where in the constitution did the congress get the authority to get into the banking industry? The commerce clause? I don’t think so. The commerce clause only allows the congress to enable commerce, not become part of it.
What liberty you may ask, well, once the government decides to enter into a private affair, they never get out of it – NEVER. Not only that but they expand their role in whatever it is they enter into.
We are about to lose a huge part of our banking industry to the government – is that what we want? Not me.

I read a slogan somewhere, I'm not sure who to give credit to, that went something like this; "Barak Obama wants to kill babies and raise taxes, Sarah Palin wants to kill taxes and raise babies." On the face of it, it is a catchy phrase and pretty much sums up the differences in the campaigns. However, this one little slogan sums up the conservative philosophy at its core, which I think is best summed up by saying conservatism is the support of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – all the philosophies liberalism is against.
How is raising babies and killing taxes at the core of conservatism? Overtaxed people cannot raise babies.
