    Ok, so I've been out for a minute doing exciting things and I'm back to keep you in the know as only Victory Waters can do. I have with me some new friends and some oldies but goodies. Are you ready to hear the woman who started a cult here on BTR? From one of BTR's originals...it's Victory Waters.

    When is it too late for women to try and have it all?

    So ladies we did it right.  We got through 12 grades of the school system only to continue our education into university/college.  We are in possession of at LEAST 1 degree and maybe even speak an additional language FLUENTLY.  We secured our first job at 22yrs old with a prestigious company and even started out with a salary where the first two digits were higher than our two-digit age.  We have our first apartment that we've furnished on our own and maybe started to finally take over those car payments from our parents. Managing our schedules seems hectic enough but we already passed with flying colors being that those kegger parties and Caribbean all-nighters still couldn't keep us from getting our degree.  The boys are plentiful enough.  Heck we even moved where all the action is so we can get our own CARRIE/MIRANDA/CHARLOTTE or even SAMANTHA on.  Belonging to only the happening groups and networks in our city...YUP...DONE! Joining a local health club and getting nails, eyebrows and hair done every other week - DONE! Birth control in all forms were taken as a precaution OR we just decided not to have sex until we found our partner for life! Yes we did some wild things but nothing to jeopardize what we've worked so hard for in the last 21 years.  Now, smooth sailing? We coast until we are about 30 then... BAM.... we are hearing of people getting married and having children. FUNNY for them.  Thank GOD that is not us.  We need to run the streets a little longer and just date until we find the right fit.  By now we are experts at what we do NOT like.  We are finally getting to realize what we do DESIRE.  Uh Oh...we are 33! What's that? A dateline reminder on the statistics of women who have never been married with no children?  What's that? A newspaper article stating that men don't want to get married as much as they did 20 years ago?  What's that? The age of RISKY-pregnancy is 35 and 35 year olds need to have a needle piercing their abdomen's to test the amnio sac just in case of abnormalities? Who's that on tv?  The Republican's VP Candidate holding a baby with Downs Syndrome and the lady is 44years old.  What's that? James Brown died as an elder with a elementary school-aged child behind. But as women, we don't have that choice?  Oh wait, there is that 60+ year old woman overseas who gave birth just a few months ago but then there was public outcry. 
    Why should we be punished for not marrying the first FOOL that came our way? We shouldn't have to apologize for taking precautionary measures and being responsible but mother-nature may not be as forgiving. There are men and women out there who use their biological organs as weapons of mass destruction.  We are not one of those people! 
    We must hold on to the belief that any marriage and children who are to come are going to have the best life possible because we planned them!  Yes we may have a few more greys in our hair then the mom or dad on that field trip but we planned them!  If children and a loving marriage is what we want to do...then let's do it and forget about age.  No one can love like us, besides remember folks... we planned it!
