Great show today, sorry I missed the live version! I love the analogy of the boat on the lake, I think it's very powerful and also a universal symbol that everyone can understand. Kim & I are both looking forward to our show together at Empowerment Sanctuary on Monday September 8th! How does love relate to heartbreak? A broken heart represents the loss of love, most often by a spurned or rejected lover. To be heartbroken is to experience extreme sadness and grief. But, is the heart really broken? We know its primary function continues or we would die. That would be a heart attack or heart failure. What if we are actually feeling the dark side of the human heart, that unseen or unknown portion referenced as the far side of love - never loving at all – fear? If this is true, what are we afraid of? What does this have to do, if anything, with the void we feel? All we know for sure is that where there was something before, an empty receptacle - we call our hearts - remains. Nothingness, a state of nonexistence creeps in. Little do we know that it creates a vacuum? Our language implies that there is a hole in our hearts. Once more, this would mean dire consequences.
