We want to allow Black Men and Boys to share their thoughts and concerns about all the things going on in the World. From police brutality, drugs, sex, and God, we will talk about it all. We plan to bring their words directly to your ears (Raw and Un-Cut). We will also bring on guests that will allow us to hold deep discussions about the problems and solutions. Today 75% of young black children are born into single parent homes. That single parent happens to be mostly mothers. We want to examine how black men are living up to their duties as fathers. Even if they are not in the home, there is a huge role they must fill to raise their children. We will also discuss how young black men are being trained to be dads. Special Guest: Kenneth Braswell (Executive Dir.) Fathers, Inc. (www.fathersinc.org)

On Nov. 4th, 2008 Barak Obama will be at the door step of the White House. When the dust settles that night, we could have the first African American President of the United States. When you wake up on the 5th, how will the world look to you? Call in and give us your opinion. This will be an OPEN MIC show so call in and give us your thoughts.

For over 100 years, Black Fraternities have been working hard in the black community to make social change. Many of those fraternities have developed programs that have and still are affecting African American communities nationwide. With all of the notable African Americans that have passed thru these organizations, many people in the Black community don't feel that these organizations are still relevant in the African American struggle in this country. Tune in to hear from our guests.

This show is dedicated to discussing the world of philanthropy from a black perspective. We want to define philanthropy and discuss Black giving. We will also discuss different models of giving. African Americans give more of their disposable than any other group but the world never tells us that. We will talk with Darryl Lester (Hindsight Consulting) and Athan Lindsay (National Rural Funders Collaborative).

Guests will be Landon Adams, Senior Associate Community Development Associates, Inc. (www.cdatrust.com) and George Garrow, Jr. Esq. Executive Director of Concerned Black Men - National Organization. Young black boys are last in all polls. From reading levels to graduation rates, our young men are lagging drastically behind all other demographics. How do we change that trend? One way is through mentoring. Is mentoring the most affective way for us to develop stronger young black men? Guests David Miller (Urban Leadership Institute-Chief Visionary Officer), and LaMar Shields (Urban Leadership Institute-Chief Executive Officer) will join us to discuss this serious issue.

Through Black Eyes Radio would like to welcome you all to our new show. We are here to give issues affecting Black Men and Boys a voice. We want to discuss social issues, that are local, national, and international. Many issues face Black Men and Boys, and we want to make sure they have a chance to give their opinions and voice on those issues. Please post your thoughts to our shows. Feel free to listen to our past shows and definitely tune in to our live shows. Each week we are trying to bring on guests to speak to our topics. Most importantly, we want Black Men and Boys to bring their thoughts and opinions. Is the show only for males? No! We want anyone with opinions to call in and let's discuss. Who is spending the most time with our young black boys today? That is Black Women! So please sisters, call in and let us know your thoughts on the many issues we will be bringing to our listeners.Through Black Eyes Radio....www.ThroughBlackEyesRadio.com
