As the daughter of Grammy award winning record producer David Foster and singer BJ Cook, Amy was exposed to great music and legendary artists from an early age. She grew up as an “industry kid,” with music in her blood.
After publishing a small collection of poetry, making the transition into writing songs was a natural progression. The first “proper” lyric Amy ever tried to write was a favor for her father, who was producing the then unknown vocalist Josh Groban.
The song entitled "Home to Stay" made it to the record, which went on to sell over 5 million copies. Since then, Amy has gone on to be one of the most successful lyricists in the world, penning songs for many artists, including Michael Buble, Diana Krall, Destiny’s Child, and Andrea Bocelli.
Amy S. Foster’s debut novel, When Autumn Leaves, is the first installment of The Jaen Saga.
