In the past, the shows were scheduled to feature one author. Starting in June, no authors will be scheduled but any author can call to discuss their books. If no one calls in or until someone does, I will talk about my books, art and religion. Starting in Sept., the show will go back to interviewing authors.

It was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in schools, bookstores and libraries. More than a thousand books have been challenged since 1982. The challenges have occurred in every state and in hundreds of communities.$0$0In support of banned book week, you might want to read my vampire novels, The Dancing Valkyrie and The Vampire Valkyrie.$0$0While neither book has been officially banned, both have been rejected by some local book stores for the usual reasons: too much explicit sex, too many four letter words, religious viewpoints not compatible with the Christian Right, etc.$0$0The fact of the matter is many books are prevented from reaching a wide audience because of content. Working together, Harvey and Foster have written Leadership: Texas Hold em Style. Most often leaders find they are given a set of resources people, equipment, funds, experience and a mission.
