Get ready for action, Mall Cop style!!

Greetings readers, and welcome to another installment of the always exciting Wonder Show blog!  This week, I've got the behind the scenes scoop on our latest radio masterpiece, "Mike the Radio Mall Cop"!

What?  You haven't heard the show yet?!?  Well then, SPOILER ALERT!!  Spoiler alert!

    Mike dies!

Just kidding.  No one dies, but Mike does take on the mantle of Mall Cop for St. Joseph's biggest mall.  And he does it for the most altruistic of reasons - he's doing research for a movie role!  That's right, no one knows how to dig into real life research like Mike the Radio Guru.  Er, make that, MIKE THE RADIO MALL COP!  (You gotta read it in a deep echoy voice for maximum effect.)  He's a regular Robert DeNiro, doncha know.  (1970s era DeNiro, not the "Analyze This" warmed over 1990s DeNiro.)

So anyway, yeah.  Mike is a mall cop, and John and I are walking the beat right there with him.  And who should show up but our old friend and former fast food pitchman, Mick Moonhead!  And not to ruin anything, but his take on Hugh Jackman's Oscar song medley is not to be missed.

So check out the show, and let us know what you think.  If you like it, there could be MORE mall cop action in future Wonder Shows!  No promises or anything, though.  These great ideas don't grow on trees...

Mall Cop movies are all the rage, so why not a mall cop radio show? Tune in for fun, misdemeanors, and security guarding.

    Weird show, chaps!

Good evening everyone, and welcome to this week's post-Wonder Show blog.  This was one of those free-form, unstructured shows that we like to do from time to time.  No wacky adventures, no nutty supporting characters, just the core hosts, John, Mike, and myself (Jim) chatting about who-knows-what for as long as we can stand it.  But this week, things didn't go exactly as planned!

We were greeted with the knowledge of a technical difficulty of some sort.  Apparently, Blog Talk Radio put The Wonder Show on an hour earlier than it was supposed to be on, which resulted in an hour of dead air preceding the show proper.  Then the show proper was plagued with, well, the plague!  Or whatever was ailing Mike the Radio Guru.  He saw fit to bail out at the halfway point, leaving only John and I to fend for ourselves.  But it wasn't long before another wacky occurrence occurred...!

WE GOT A LIVE CALLER.  That's right, someone thought it was a good idea to call in to our show.  I can't claim this person was entirely sober, or even 100% sane, but there he was nonetheless.  John and I decided to keep this caller with us for as long as he would stay on the line, in hopes of either exhausting our One True Fan, or allowing him to pick up Mike the Radio Guru's slack.  It wound up being more of the latter, as we just couldn't shake this fella!  And more power to him.

You can hear it all on our Blog Talk Radio site, or you can download the podcast for free at iTunes Music Store, under "Podcasts".  Hopefully that hour of dead air will be eliminated from the archived version.  If not, fast forward - you can do it!  You have to hear this episode to believe it.

Happy Oscar weekend, everyone!  May your best dog win!

It's a Beautiful Night for Love

Just when you thought it was safe to fall in love, we deliver the annual Wonder Show Valentine's Day special!  And was it ever a very special special!  Mike, John, and I decided to pool our resources, and try to help our good pal Phil the Vet score a date with the vixen of his dreams, Miss Kitty Enchilada!  She may be old - very, very old, as a matter of fact - but that doesn't mean she still hasn't got it goin' on!  Phil should be quite the catch in his own right, but for good measure, we bring in our one-time acquaintance and washed-up 1980s fast food pitchman, Mick Moonhead!  And when Mick begins to sing his romantic odes to tacos and burritos, just sit back and listen to the sparks fly!

In other news, the Wonder Show has caught up with the year 2007, and joined everyone's favorite social networking site, Facebook!  As though Facebook weren't already wasting all of your free time (and don't pretend it's not!), now you can have the Wonder Show, and 2/3s of its loveable deejay hosts to kick around as part of your online routine.  (John is still working on his Facebook page.  He says it may be unveiled next week, two weeks tops.  We'll see, won't we John?)  We've already been a formidable presence on MySpace for several years, now we have set out to conquer Facebook as well.  Watch out, Twitter, you're next!!!!!

(What the %^&*# is Twitter, anyway?)

    (Now who sounds old?  Yikes!!)

1.25 Love Finds the Wonder Show

It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air at The Wonder Show. Listen as the guys try to fix their pal Phil the Vet up with the widow of his dreams! But will she turn out to be a black widow, that deadliest of female spiders??

    This message will self destruct!

    And, that's a wrap!

For those of you who missed it, this week's Wonder Show featured no less than the start-to-finish production of the latest Tom Cruise actioner, "Mission: Impossible 4"!!!  As director of the said film, I demand that it be referred to as the hip and trendy "M:I-4", got it?  "M:I-4" is everything you'd want in such a movie, all with the unmistakable Wonder Show touch!  And our latest Wonder Show episode is the ONLY place you can experience it!

But that's not all.  All the drama and thrills of on-the-fly, seat-of-our-pants movie making can be experienced here!  We tip our hats to the past while shattering its conventions, and spitting upon them!  I tell you it's like the French New Wave all over again!!!  But with more explosions and crocodiles.

See you in the screening room...
