Each show will feature an interview and music from a different songwriter, and we'll talk about song inspiration, the songwriting process, and of course, tracks from artists' CDs and upcoming shows to attend.

    The Open Stage with Patty Reese

    Award-winning singer/songwriter Patty Reese will join Michelle on Sunday, February 8th at 12:30 p.m. on The Open Stage to talk about her music, and her upcoming shows, including her new SAW/BMI showcase at JJ Muldoon's on February 11th. Patty Reese’s style has been compared to Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge and Janis Joplin. Inspired by the vocals of Etta James and Aretha Franklin, Reese’s vocal style encompasses pop, blues, folk and rock. Along with years of accruing stacks of nominations for her vocals and her band, Reese was named Best Rock Pop Vocalist in 2004 & 2007 and 2004 Best Pop/Rock Album from the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) and she received two awards in the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest–Silver in the Rock Category for "Just Friends" and Finalist in the Gospel/Inspirational/Christian Category for "Looking Out For You."
