Living through the holiday season 2008 has activated most of us, as we feel the normal tensions of relationship along with the current crises and the "promise" of 2009. Let's have the conversation... what's really up just now that is setting the stage for the new? As we live into this time of political polarity and economic crisis, something new is arising that may be called authentic conversation, where getting to the heart of the matter before us is essential, where conversations are called forth as if our very lives depended on them. The urgency of the times is a clear message to put aside our need to be right, and listen deeply to each other, to put aside our inner habits of moving away from what is painful, and speak our most authentic truths. Please join us every Tuesday and Thursday, as we, Jeanie DeRousseau (Gather the Women Global Matrix), Bonnie Kelley (Evolutionary Women) and Teresa Ruelas (Offerings Publications) offer our own learnings and those of others into this evolution toward real conversation. We pop the champagne of life itself in our conversation for the holiday. Bonnie, Teresa, and I checked in and noted well the human tendency to create repetitions of familiar patterns that can keep us from a certain freshness of Being... We re-committed to freshness at the heart of each conversation! 

Today we were delighted (and re-freshed!) to hear from our guest Lynda Terry about her journey into Silence, and her life's vocation to serve through that Silence.  Lynda spoke about Silence as a presence, the invitation she feels to "abide in that Silence", and the way she feels that Silence can serve to hold space for whatever is needed, even very practical decisions like choosing a house.

As Lynda shared the story of her evolution into her life's purpose, it seemed clear that we were peeking into the arising of a new culture as experienced by one woman ... that staying on the edge of "normal" life while developing the skills needed to engage in that new culture was a deep and major commitment.  We imagined many individuals partnered with Lynda around the world, holding and channeling the frequencies of "Silence" and Being as their unique service for the evolution of humanity.  (How many global initiatives for peace and other good causes are invited as "moments of silence"?)

Dear Everyone,

Our last four shows have been incredible experiences for me.  I traveled from Hawaii to Santa Barbara to San Francisco and back to Honolulu, doing the show in four different localities during the interim. 

Two of our shows bracketed the Evolutionary Women retreat in Santa Barbara. First, Nina Cooley joined us, speaking about "the field", and thinking with me about the field we created in Santa Barbara in our Conscious Evolution community.  After the retreat Bonnie reflected on the energies at the event that seemed to invite women forward with their unique passions to co-create aspects of our new world.  As we shared about Evolutionary Women, Teresa was engaged in her Chakra circle, so the wisdom of the collective was very much with us.

On December 11, I was in the car driving toward San Francisco, while Teresa hosted our show.  As our guest Lucky Sweeny talked about the cosmic co-creation we're engaged in, I followed the almost full moon north...

Lucky contrasted her reach into the cosmos with her role in Evolutionary Women (with Bonnie), evoking the journey of individual women to follow their inner star to their own evolution and participation in the dance of creation.  I was indeed blessed with Lucky's astrological experience as the last full moon of the year played above me...

My whole trip, using different computers,sometimes just calling in, seemed to be teaching me what movement feels like, and how the partnership of movement and presence can actually happen at this time.  (I want to thank Nina Cooley and computer; Bonnie and computer; Teresa and computer, and especially my cell phone for making this all possible... and I wonder what pieces of myself I've left on each computer!).

On Tuesday last, December 16, just as I returned from California to Kailua, I walked in the door to Teresa's call.  We reflected on where we have come in these two weeks, including Teresa's statement on December 4 that there is a moral imperative now for us to be ourselves.  All the pretenses and positionings will no longer serve... it is time to gift the world with our real presence in real conversation.
