The Alchemist is based on an old arabic story, also interpreted by one of your favourite authors Borges in "a tale of two dreamers" (or so). How do you deal with that some people get disappointed when they get to know that the sceleton of the story is not originally yours? Personally I don't mind and I admire anyone who can take a basic story and bring it to a greater life for thousands of people.

Hi! I started my P. Coelho-journey with the Alchemist and enjoyed it a lot since it got me to feel at home in a way. I read most of your books but when I came to "O diario de um Mago" I was so dissapointed. I don't know what it was with the book that made me feel as if I'd lost you, but I even wrote a poem about it :-). Dear Top Shelf, I don't know when you last used that world clock converter, but it does not refer to Eastern/US. Is that California? We use EST in Australia as well, and it is a very different time.
