Although the Internet basically provides everyone a positive experience, attacks against our personal privacy and security are reaching epidemic proportions. These cyber-attacks are occurring in our own homes and businesses. Our personal computers are being used as zombies to attack the computers of other people, their businesses, and our nation. As an average Internet user, you may not be aware of these threats nor have any idea about the dramatically increasing risks you face when your computer is connected to the Internet. As an Internet Safety Advocate and Educator, I am on a campaign for Internet safety awareness and protection. My mission is to bring critical awareness to you as individuals, families, and small business owners, and to provide access to the necessary tools and ongoing expertise to secure your computer and help you stay securely protected. Join the many thousands of others who have tested their computers, discovered these threats are real, and taken the necessary steps to protect themselves, their families, and their small businesses. Therefore, I encourage you to click the red test button below to scan your computer and get your free report about the hackers, viruses, and spyware that may be preventing you from staying safe online. Diabetes had long been a part of Angela’s family when she learned in 1993 that she, too, had the disease. Her grandmother, who Angela had helped care for as a child, died of renal failure associated with the disease. A cousin had had a kidney transplant. In Angela’s mind, complications like these were not an option; she had a disabled daughter who depended on her. Still, Angela struggled for years to manage her condition. It wasn’t until her own mother died in 2003 that she got serious about taking better care of herself. "I made choices every day on what I would wear and eat," says Angela. "But on that day, I made the choice to live in a way that allows me to continue making my other daily choices." Today, Angela exercises three to four times a week, eats smaller portions, tests her blood sugar regularly and takes her medication. An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Angela works at a diabetes center which she says has also helped her efforts to control her disease. "By educating others, I also educate myself," she says.

Today's Tactics, Techniques, and Tips!
Our guest today is Devro "Cookie" Cooke, who started her Sister and Brother Program after rearing 5 children on my own, with the help of a very loving mother. This year Cookie joined forces with a priest from Atlanta, Georgia.
With her children gone on to and graduated college, Cookie found herself going the empty-nest syndrome. Wanting to give back to so many who were not as lucky as she was in having a loving mother who cared for her and her children, Cookie decided to go full steam into running her Sister and Brother Program.
Cookie's here today to share with us the high point and the low points of running such a program and still managing to staying safe online.
1. What is the Sister and Brother Program?
2. What is its purpose?
3. Did you see a need for such a program? When?
4. What services do the Sister and Brother program offer?
5. What are the goals of the program?
6. How and why did you get involved in starting such a program?
7. Who benefits and how from the program's services?
8. How can the public get in touch with the program?
9. What about a young girl or boy needing services?
That's your Tactics, Techniques, and Tips segment for today!
