SoulSistas “Live” Is Turning Up the Heat for the August 6th Show!!

SoulSistas "Live" is turning up the heat for our upcoming show, scheduled to air on Wednesday, August 6th at 7:00 PM (EST).  Join us for an entertaining conversation with two new and rising authors, Debbie G. & R. Michaela Cooper as we discuss "In Between the Sheets: Exploring Erotica as the New Literary Genre".

    About Our Guests

Debbie G., author of "Lesbian Love, Lust, Truth and Solitude: Rhythm of Words", was born in Nashville, North Carolina, but has been a resident of Washington, DC. since she was six months old.

A distinguished member of the International Society of Poets for her poem "Words", Debbie G. has been writing for as long as she can remember, and the fifty-three poems in her book are a compilation of her own experiences and interpretation of the lesbian world.

The book is a sexy and inspirational gift for the lesbian community and covers a wide range of topics and assorted emotions derived from the three L's: love, lust and loss.  She is currently working on two additional books: "Words: Listen Up - Black Relationships, Drama and Other Things" and "The Sense Missing from the Common".

    R. Michaela Cooper,  Educator, Photographer and Writer was born in Kansas and raised in Los Angeles, California.  The author of "A Forever Kind of Love - Tasting the Rainbow: The African American Lesbian Series", Michaela started her literary journey when she was 13 years of age, and began with her passion at the time...poetry.  This passion grew into a hobby which blossomed into a novel series.

This lesbian romance series had been in the works for approximately five years and has culminated into five separate books.  The series is about the lives of five professional women who face the whole gamut of what it means to be a woman.  Not only do they strive for success in the workforce, but as African American women, they face a number of other issues.  However, as if these two issues were not enough, being a woman and African American, what makes life a far greater challenge is that these women are lesbian; and this indeed adds a whole other dimension to life.

This show is for anyone and everyone that has thought about, toyed with, or taken a stab and spilled the literary ink...be sure to mark your calendar and we look forward to having you join us!!

    ~Flavr & luvle~
