Sörensson, Ph.D. is a mother, writer, scientist, investment specialist, selfgrowth expert, and the author of a book entitled My Journey To An Integrated Life (ISBN-10: 0979650704) available at Amazon and the online bookstore Booksxyz.com. Melinda is currently writing her second book entitled "Mind of a Scientist, Soul of an Artist, Heart of a Sage" due out in early 2011 Reads and then writes, sometimes, among other things I was born in Manila, Philippines, and was raised on a farm forty miles south of Manila. My ancestors were Chinese, Filipino and Spanish. I went to the University of the Philippines and obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering, and then I went to Hawaii to go to graduate school. I obtained a degree in Biochemistry at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and did my postdoctorate at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California. I taught Biochemistry and General Chemistry classes for several years and then left teaching altogether.
