  Episode 41 - Peter Brusso

  Episode 41 features an interview with Self Defense Instructor and inventor of the Defender Peter Brusso. During the course of this interview Brusso shares his connection to the new George Clooney movie Men Who Stare At Goats. And talks about having worked with writer Jon Ronson on a documentary which explored the various none conventional combat programs used by the US Military.

  Upcoming Shows On SFP

  First off let me say it’s good to be back, and we hope you enjoyed our weekend round up of shows for last weekends Halloween Holidays. I sure had fun doing them.
  
  Anyway, I figured you’d appreciate a heads up on some of our up and coming shows for November.
  Friday 6, November
  I’m doing one more Friday show in which we’ll be exploring the mysterious world of psychic warriors in a show that we have done to coincide with the release of the new George Clooney movie The Men Who Stare At Goats, which is based on the book by acclaimed British journalist Jon Ronson.
  
  For this show we’ll be featuring an interview with Self Defense instructor Peter Brusso who invented the Defender, a took used for self defense, which is demonstrated by George Clooney in the movie Men Who Stare At Goats.
  
  Peter shares how George Clooney’s role in the movie is actually based somewhat on him and talks about many of the Fringe Military programs that the new George Clooney movie discusses. So if your curious about a real world version of Jedi Knights that operate in the real world. You may find this show both interesting and fun.

  For the Sunday show we move back into the realm of television science fiction and feature our exclusive interview with Amanda Tapping who talks to me exclusively about Sanctuary and hints at some of the things we can expect to see in forthcoming episodes.
  
  Tapping also talks about her role as a producer on the series and the many responsibilities that it comes with. So if your a fan of Sanctuary this is the show for you.

  For this show we feature an interview with Ian Sharman who runs the small press UK based publishing company Orang Utan Comics who publish the much talked about anthology comic FTL and have just released their new comic book series The Alpha Gods. So if your a comic book fan that is looking for something a little different to what is currently on offer from Marvel and DC. This could be the show for you.

  Episode 40 - Batman Metaphors

  For episode 40 we’ll be joined by cast and crew from the new Batman Metaphors fan movie, which is an unofficial sequel to the 2008 hit movie Batman: Dark Knight. We’ll be joined by producer and fight choreographer Marx Pyle as well as Kristine Farley who plays the role of Harley Quinn and Derek Mullins who plays the role of  Joker in the movie. Also joining us will be Neil Kellen who directed and produced the movie, which gets its release on an unsuspecting public real soon. We feature a 40 minute recorded interview with Rich Emms who is best known as the co owner of Ardden Entertainment, publisher of Flash Gordon and the new Casper & The Spectrals comic books. During the course of this interview Rich and I discuss the world of comics retail, and how things have moved on in the world of comics over the last 20 years. We also touch on Flash Gordon as well as the new Casper comic book series, which for the moment is only available in the USA.

  Sorry To Report That Our Guest Was No Show

  I'm sorry to report that our guest for show 37 was unfortunately a no show.
  
  At present I haven't heard from them in regards to why, but I am sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation.
  
  All I know is that as we went to air the show. Patricia Tallman had confirmed that she'd be calling in via our contact.
  
  I do hope that we can reschedule this show for another time with Ms Tallman and I thank all those who stayed with us throughout the hour for their generosity of spirit and support.
  
  Our next show will be 31 October.
