I try to integrate relevant talk radio into the music I will be playing.

No fillers, no frills just me and all the grubby little music I can get my hands on.

Lately, I have been wondering what it would be like if the one and only 2pac was alive. This was a man who was not afraid of confrontation, but he had a soft side as well. Face it, there are many facets to an individual.

Now with Obama in the White House trying to make change, I wonder about the perception of the African American Male in this country, juxtaposed to the rising poverty and crime rate in my own community.

The black community is still at war with the local police department (although some would argue they are at war with us). We still find ourselves having a collective identity crisis even though a black man is president.

I have had to pause and rethink my own approach to politics and my community. Still, I am at a loss for words when trying to offer a solution.

I believe 'change' starts with the individual and not the collective.

So, in the case of RAC RADIO, I ask that all who listen keep an open mind. There are somethings you may not want to here and some things you will agree with. Keep in mind, you can always call in and disagree. These are just my ideas.
