Even as a little girl growing up in Romania, Carmen knew she was different. After a near-death experience at age five, Dr. Harra was able to see things others couldn't. Everyone who has had a near-death experience describes the sensation of "going toward the light.” In this parallel world, extraordinary light energy surrounds you and you see an inexpressibly beautiful light. There is no negativity and no anger or sadness, only love. It is a perfect, glowing world, filled with dazzling insights and pure truth, the way our Creator meant it to be. She has never forgotten the lessons this experience taught her. This parallel world, which Carmen calls the Invisible World, is just as real as the physical world here on Earth.

  Scott Cluthe interviews Richard Farrell, author of the provocative new biography, What's Left of Us. Richard Farrell is an author, filmmaker, teacher, journalist, and adjunct professor of English at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. His documentary, High on Crack Street, was aired on HBO and received Columbia University's duPont Award. He is the co-author of A Criminal and an Irishman: The Inside Story of the Mob-IRA Connection. He is the screenwriter for the upcoming film The Fighter, which stars Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg. His memoir, What’s Left of Us, is being published by Citadel Press.
