Soul food dressed to the nines - that best describes the recipes in this collection. Flavored with stories that raised families from generation to another. The recipes are delightful twists to the favorite dishes of an Ohio born and Florida raised cook - Brenda L. Jackson. Down home meets elegant.

My book is similar in nature to Knock 'em Dead and What Color is your Parachute? because we all include the basics: Cover letters, resumes, and interviewing. But my book differs from them in a number of key ways. For instance, mine is written with today’s job seeker constantly in mind. Somebody facing tremendous competition unseen since literally the Great Depression. So I wanted to give them everything necessary to be successful in today’s harsh and rough job market. My book’s written with this attitude, mistakes employers used to let you get away with in the past won’t slide by today. That’s exactly why you must do everything you can to avoid making them. And is often the reason some are having trouble now when they never used to before. My book also discusses ways to shrink your resume so it’s smaller or fits better on a page. And talks about writting a letter of resignation, including why you should. It also includes all forms of group interviews, plus computer and project-based interviews. And explains the difference between using a colon versus a comma in a cover letter's salutation. There’s also an extensive listing of other resources: books, websites, and state employment offices. And the greatest difference of all, my book has no index. Why not? Because I structured the table of contents so it's very intuitive and user-friendly! You see, it’s organized the way a typical job seeker actually thinks and reacts. So my book is very easy reading and nicely laid-out. There's even a section devoted to students and recent graduates. With so many retraining or updating their skills, I felt this was important. Plus, as an instructor and recent student, I’ve seen it from both sides. So I have a truly unique perspective many other experts lack.

During the 1800s, the Nissitissit was no different than any other river. During that time our rivers were the recipient of every waste product and poison produced. North village is located in a narrow valley that concentrates the flow from about forty thousand aces of land upstream. There were many little villages along the Nissitissit and any toxins they wanted to dispose of were dumped into the river.
